On my birthday this year my wife took
me to "On The Border" restaurant.
Our waitress took our order and deep
in conversation we lost track of time. After about
40 minutes our waitress came over and apologized for
our long wait. Our order ticket had been thrown away!
We had not even complained about the time!
She told us that because of the mix-up
our dinners would be free. Then the manager came over
and apologized and reiterated that are dinners would
be "on the house".
When we finished eating we were full and when we declined
dessert, our waitress persuaded us to try the dessert
since it was FREE. We did so, and it was wonderful.
When we were finished, there was no
check, just a smiling " Have a nice night - and Happy
Birthday" from our waitress!
We will go back there
again, many times!
