On my birthday this year my wife took me to "On The Border" restaurant.

Our waitress took our order and deep in conversation we lost track of time. After about 40 minutes our waitress came over and apologized for our long wait. Our order ticket had been thrown away! We had not even complained about the time!

She told us that because of the mix-up our dinners would be free. Then the manager came over and apologized and reiterated that are dinners would be "on the house".

When we finished eating we were full and when we declined dessert, our waitress persuaded us to try the dessert since it was FREE. We did so, and it was wonderful.

When we were finished, there was no check, just a smiling " Have a nice night - and Happy Birthday" from our waitress!

We will go back there again, many times!

Recently we purchased some coconut covered marshmallows at a major chain drug store. Upon putting them in our mouth we discovered that there was someting terribly wrong with them, they tasted like paint thinner!

The next day when we called the candy company, the customer service rep we spoke with was very rude and said that they would mail us an envelope to send them back to them, but they would not give us a credit until they were tested because WE may have done it (contaminated them on purpose) to them.

I was so outraged, when I got off the phone I called customer service for the drug store chain and told them what the candy company said. They apologized for the candy company's attitude and forwarded my message to every department head.

I believe the chain no longer sells that product.
